A so-called “former CIA analyst” is leading House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s effort to stop President Trump from taking further military action against Iran’s top terrorist leaders. Her name is Rep. Elissa Slotkin (D-Mich.) and she says that she “participated in countless conversations on how to respond to Qassem Soleimani’s violent campaigns across the region.” In other words, she’s all talk, no action.

Now that Trump has acted, authorizing the killing of this terror master, the Pelosi argument is that Trump must be stopped and Iran’s other top terrorist leaders must be saved, so they can scheme against America in comfort and security. Slotkin is the CIA face for this effort. Pelosi is counting on people to think the title “CIA analyst” carries some credibility.

乐动体育APPThis is a twofer for Pelosi. A CIA analyst sparked impeachment, and another CIA analyst will now save Iran from Trump.

Pelosi has announced that a War Powers Resolution in the House to tie Trump’s hands will be led by Congresswoman Slotkin (photo, left), whose bio says, “She was recruited by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) to be a Middle East analyst and went on to devote her career to protecting...

乐动体育APPThe Democratic Party of 2020 bears little resemblance to the lifelong political home of former President Harry Truman. The President known for his “Give ‘Em Hell” approach and his famous “The Buck Stops Here” motto would be unfamiliar with a party that is moving at light speed to the far left.

乐动体育APPThere are no prominent Democrats today on the national scene who advocate tax cuts like former President John F. Kennedy. In addition, there are very few who are as pro-military as former U.S. Senator Henry “Scoop” Jackson (D-WA). Today, the party is filled with progressives, socialists and Trump hating members of the political establishment. Along with a hard-core left-wing agenda, almost all Democrats of 2020 share an unrelenting hatred of the President.

If the President found a cure for cancer, Democrats would protest that he neglected heart disease. No matter what he does, the Democrats will find a reason to oppose him.

As we begin this new year, the American economy is soaring. The President’s policies have produced low interest and inflation rates, increasing wages, historically low unemployment, rising consumer confidence and all-time stock...

The act of self-defense can have a double effect: the preservation of one's life;
and the killing of the aggressor...The one is intended, the other is not.
— Saint Thomas Aquinas

Violence is a global problem, which in the context of this article (interpersonal violence), is intentional force against another person or persons with the potential to cause injury or bodily harm, resulting in disability or death. Despite what one has been led to believe, America is not the most violent nation. [Figure 1, right] When it comes to violence, objectively compared to developed nations, the U.S. is in the middle of the pack; when considering the rest of the world, the U.S is far behind Latin America (including Brazil), Africa, and much of Eastern Europe and Eurasia (including Russia).

Nevertheless, we must admit that we have an endemic problem that needs addressing. Violence perpetrated by assailants carrying (or having the opportunity to rapidly be able to pick up and use) a blunt object to attack another person may result in severe bodily harm and/or head injury. In the body, severe blunt trauma may result in long bone fractures and...

As 2019 ends, the positive economic news regularly astounds financial experts. The stock market continues to reach new highs, while unemployment is at a historic low level. Consumer confidence is soaring, and Americans spent record amounts for the Christmas season.

乐动体育APPUnder President Donald Trump, onerous regulations and taxes have been cut, and Americans have used the extra money to energize the economy. This has happened while inflation and interest rates are at low levels and wages are increasing.

With such a fantastic economy, the chances of President Trump winning a second term remain strong, especially with such a weak field of Democratic presidential candidates. Their frontrunner, former Vice President Joe Biden, is constantly making a fool of himself on the campaign trail. Regularly, he makes erroneous or embarrassing comments which need to be corrected by campaign staff afterwards.

With unimpressive candidates, Democrats are relying on their House leaders to present roadblocks to the President at every turn. This opposition is fueled by pure hatred of the President. One manifestation of this hatred is the harassment the President receives on...

With the impeachment of President Donald Trump, the U.S. House of Representatives sent a clear message to the American people. Despite the many problems in our country, the top concern for House Democrats is to punish President Trump. His true “crime” is being an outsider, an advocate of “America First” policies and a President committed to “draining the swamp” in Washington D.C. His values make President Trump the enemy of the Deep State, the media, the Democrats and their allies in Hollywood.

After his unfair, rushed and completely partisan impeachment in the U.S. House of Representatives, the Trump haters exploded in celebration. In fact, it started before the official vote was taken. The night before impeachment, House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA) enjoyed drinks and dinner at Charlie Palmer, an expensive Washington D.C. steak house. Presumably, this solemn occasion did not prevent Schiff from partying with friends.

On impeachment day, the so-called somber attitude of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and her House Democratic colleagues was just a façade. Pelosi wore black on impeachment day to try to convince Americans that she was “sad”...

I was born in Sancti Spiritus, Cuba in 1952. Sancti Spiritus and the surrounding area have been traditionally hot beds for revolution. The Escambray Mountains are in the vicinity, which rebels notoriously used for guerrilla warfare. That same year (1952) Fulgencio Batista carried out a successful coup d’état and became dictator. Although subsequently he was elected President, he was despised by the intelligentsia and not considered the legitimate head of the Cuban Republic. At first, the common people were for him because he brought tranquility and prosperity to the island. But the following year in 1953, Fidel and Raul Castro began the revolution by attacking the military Moncada Barracks near Santiago de Cuba in Oriente province on July 26, 1953, a day that was immortalized as the name of their rebel movement.

On March 13, 1957, a second group of rebels led a celebrated and more intrepid (although also suicidal) attack against the Presidential Palace in Havana in an attempt “to decapitate the government from the top” by killing Batista. They failed and many rebels were annihilated, but the survivors, led by Faure Chomón and Rolando Cubela, formed a second movement....

乐动体育APPIt was bad enough for House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA) to subpoena the phone records of businessman Lev Parnas and President Donald Trump’s attorney Rudy Giuliani and other political opponents, but when he released them in his impeachment report it was a stunning abuse of power. In the view of columnist Kimberly Strassel, Schiff’s move “trampled law and responsibility…it was a disgraceful breach of ethical and legal propriety.”

Not surprisingly, Trump hating members of the news media trumpeted the release of the call records as major step toward the President’s impeachment. Their desire to destroy the President is so all-consuming that they missed the bigger picture. Instead, journalists should have been outraged by this invasion of privacy and misuse of power. These records should have never been released to Schiff or any politician and should have never been included in his impeachment report.

The purpose of the release was to embarrass President Trump, Giuliani and Jay Sekulow, the President’s attorneys, John Solomon, investigative reporter, and Congressman Devin Nunes (R-CA), ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee. All of these...

If Ukraine had kept and modernized the nuclear weapons it had inherited from the old Soviet Union, it is entirely possible that Russia would never have invaded in 2014. Those weapons could have been transformed into a deterrent to Russian aggression. But President Bill Clinton signed an agreement to send the weapons to Russia.

These facts have been conveniently ignored in the current hysteria over how, why, and when President Trump armed Ukraine against Russia. History shows that Clinton disarmed Ukraine through a flawed international agreement with Russia and then, when Russia invaded Ukraine in 2014, President Barack Hussein Obama failed to send the Ukrainians the arms they needed to defend themselves. It was Trump who rescued Ukraine from the Clinton/Obama policies.

Hillary Clinton accuses many people of being Russian agents, but it was her husband President Clinton who engineered the disarmament of Ukraine in the so-called Budapest Memorandum. It was an executive agreement and not a treaty, meaning that Congress had not approved it. It was signed by Ukraine, the Russian Federation, the United States, and Britain on December 5, 1994, and marked Ukraine’s...

The Culture Wars are mostly over, and the sexual revolutionaries have won. But they are not proclaiming total victory. They want a gay president in the White House, in order to complete Barack Hussein Obama’s “fundamental transformation” of America. With their eyes on the prize, they want to mandate through executive order a risky HIV/AIDS vaccine. But such a vaccine could backfire and spread the disease to more people.

乐动体育APPOne of the political winners in the cultural revolution is Democratic Presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg, the South Bend, Indiana, Mayor who “married” another man (photo, left) and is leading the polls in Iowa, which holds its first-in-the-nation caucus February 3, 2020. He is one of the top fundraisers among Democratic candidates, assembling what the New York Times calls “a nationwide network of donors that is anchored by many wealthy and well-connected figures in lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender political circles.” These are many of the same people who propelled Barack Hussein Obama into the White House in 2008.

On the cutting edge of Marxist cultural revolution, Buttigieg promises to fund a cure for HIV/AIDS and update the U.S. passport...

乐动体育APPSince the beginning of the Ringside Politics TV and radio shows, we have enjoyed an annual Thanksgiving tradition of awarding our “Turkey of the Year” to recognize individuals who distinguished themselves in a particularly foolish way. It seems appropriate since turkeys are commonly regarded as one of the most dim-witted animals on the planet.

The winners are selected by our viewers and listeners and each year it is a robust competition with many deserving celebrities and politicians. Previous winners have included both Democrats and Republicans, so it is truly a bi-partisan award. Here is a partial listing of some of our past top turkeys: filmmaker Michael Moore, former House Speakers John Boehner and Nancy Pelosi, former President Barack Obama and former New Orleans Mayors Mitch Landrieu and, current federal inmate, Ray Nagin (pictured on left).

In 2018, former Speaker of the House Paul Ryan (R-WI) was the clear choice for Turkey of the Year. Ryan (pictured on right) is an establishment Republican who was a very weak House Speaker. His major accomplishment was the passage of the tax cut bill. He failed to deliver on an array of important issues such as...
